Radar Detector + Dash Cam
I first installed my Uniden radar detector using Gen5DIY's harness that taps into the brown plug module on the bottom in front of the passenger seat. It taps into the heater control module. Uniden fired up right away. HOWEVER, I just finished installing a dash cam (tapped into the fuse box under the hood) & now my dash cam works but my radar detector no longer has power.
Something must be conflicting here, does anyone know of a hot (constant 12V) fuse under the hood that I can use? Other than F29 which is what I'm using now and I'm thinking is the reason they aren't both working simultaneously. Btw/ I tapped into F29 for constant 12V & F58 for ACC power. F29 is Body Control Module 8 F58 is Trans. Control Module Ignition F29 originally had a 30A fuse which I tapped with another 30A fuse and a 5A fuse. F58 originally had a 15A fuse which I tapped into with two 5A fuses. Please help!
