VIN Breakpoint at EOP for A8 trans shudder?

I've been spending a decent amount of time on the forums about this trans shudder and cannot find the answer to the question I'm looking for. Does anybody know what the VIN breakpoint for the trans shudder ended? And to all the 2018 Camaro owners here with the A8, have you experienced the shudder? I'm hearing mixed answers with lots of the drivers on the forums.

I was under the assumption that any GM A8 was suseptable to the shutter issue. So there's a definite cutoff date for 18's where they completely fixed the issue?

Some people are saying there is a cutoff and others are saying there isn't. That's what made me create this thread.

Well damn now you got me curious lol. I have an 18 as well but no shudder yet at 3500 miles

There have been a number of ‘18 owners on this board with the A8 shudder. GM doesn’t even know how to fix the shudder to this day, so there is no way the ‘18s are going to be 100% safe from this issue.

No cut off. Any A8 is susceptible regardless of the year model or platform.

1st issue has occurred as late as 20k,sadly.

It does if you dont have an SS or ZL1.

SS and ZL1 both have the 10 speed for 2019.

They are not the same 10 speeds FYI. ZL1 has never had AFM to my knowledge, so no surprise that it has been free of the shudder issue. The ‘19 SS A10 does AFM (I believe) so it will be interesting to see if it stays shudder free like the ZL1.

So is it pretty much assured I’ll have this on my 2019 2LT V6 or do some cars not have it?

I checked the door and mine left the factory in November of 2018 and I have 213 miles on her.....

AFM has nothing to do with the transmission shudder.

And yes I know it's slightly different, rated for less horsepower, but they have the same calibration/tune.

In fact, I've never even noticed the so called AFM shudder on my 2019.

Disagree. The trans is altering pressures during AFM mode. Directly related IMO.

Bit early in the game for you to be declaring the '19s to be trouble free...?

Didn't say that, but I'm 2k in and haven't had a single issue or shudder. The 10L80 is just as much a beast as 10L90 in the ZL1, just rated for less horsepower.

The only thing I've noticed with AFM is if I dont have music on I can hear the cylinders turn off, that's it. No shuddering or anything.
