Mishimoto Oil Catch Can

Does anyone know if this voids warranty if installing on car and is it really worth the money?

You shouldn't have any warranty issues from a catch can. On a DI engine I'd say a catch can is 100% worth it. I've walnut blasted some some intake valves on DI engines with ~45K miles on them and it was insane how much carbon deposits there were.

Don't know about that brand, but I would run a catch can for sure.

If you are worried about warranty - don't do it.

You likely can't afford to prove the catch can is not cause of said engine failure or "noise" or < insert reason > for visiting dealer for warranty issue.

I would run a catch can. I have an Elite Engineering version installed.

Recently I went in to the dealership for my last free oil change. As a precaution I took the catch can off before I went in (takes about 30 minutes). When I handed the keys over to the service manager, part of the paper work was to sign an agreement/understanding that any "non-GM part" on the car could be cause for denying the warranty.

I'd use a catch can, but take it off before going to the dealer.

Catch cans take less than 10min if you absolutely needed to pull for warranty work.
Also yes they work, yes run one & ignore the haters

I have an Elite Engineering catch can I repurposed from my C6. I did a Roadkill install with zip ties near the radiator/air box since the bracket for the C6 wouldn't fit the 1LE. Heck the bracket didn't fit on the C6, so I did the same with that car except the can was by the battery. Probably take less than 10 minutes to remove should I have to go to the dealer.

I felt bad about not installing the can until 2,300 miles due to my laziness, and the 1LE being too much fun to drive and rack up miles.
It's been on for 7,000 miles and probably caught 3-4 oz of oil.

If you can get your hands on it, Valvoline's EasyGDI & First Defense Kit is the best in the business. Carbon deposits on newer DI engines is alarming. I did a demo on my company car (2017 Impala V6) when it had ~20k miles, it was filthy. Scoped before & after, looked great!

Seems like a neat product, but I think it's for sale for professional use only. I'm going to try the CRC GDI Intake Cleaner and pair that with a decent concentrated fuel system cleaner every 20K miles or so.
