Looking into getting a 2016 2SS, any concerns/problems to be aware of?

Can't afford brand new (2SS or nothing), looking at preowned 2016's and I haven't been following the Gen 6's (I previously had two Gen 5's) and was wondering if there's anything to be aware of with that year? Are they pretty reliable, no major malfunctions? Android auto and Google Music works well with a S7? I read something about windows fogging up or something? How about that terrible AC vent smell that the Gen 5's had, fixed in the gen 6? How does the new premium sound system sound? I thought the Boston in the Gen 5 was pretty crappy to be honest with you. I could buy as soon as tomorrow if a sale I have pending goes through so a little insight would be nice or if I should look at newer models that fixed issues that the 2016 might of had? Thanks.

I don't think there are any differences from 2016-2018 on the SS side of things.

I've never experienced the windshield fogging up in a year in a half that I've had mine. The 2SS stereo sounds good to me but I'm no audiophile.

Going on our 2nd summer here with ours, and I have never experienced the windshield fogging issue either.
And it gets plenty humid here in Southern Missouri too.

We had a Gen 5 2SS for close to 5 years before trading it for the Gen 6.

No terrible vent smell issues at all.

As mentioned, not every car will be affected by every issue.
I know if your car is having the issue it is a big deal though, so not trying to downplay it.
But the odds are really in favor of not having any major issues.

Just a heads up, it will be difficult to wipe the smile off your face when you get behind the wheel.

A lot of units have a leaky ac mode door that fogs and condensates the windshield. Some don't leak. Check defroster vent for leakage in ac mode.

Have a dealer enable after-run for the ac. It runs the ac fan after shutdown to dry the evaporator and end musty odors.

I bought a used 2016 2ss in February and have enjoyed every minute of it. Mine had a noisy rear end that they changed the rear diff fluid on under warranty. Besides that good to go.
