Service StabiliTrak and Antilock Breaking system alert while front bumper is removed?

Car is at dealership currently having a factory paint issue corrected.

It was on the front bumper and from my understanding they would pull it off to paint it. It should currently be off the car.

Early this morning I got a text alert and noticed from the Chevy diagnostic system saying to service both the stability control and anti-lock breaking systems while the car is currently just sitting at the dealership going nowhere.

My question is, is there anything they'd be disconnecting in the front end or anywhere else when they'd pull the front bumper off that could cause this alert?

I haven't had any issues before now and will have them look at it since it's already there.

But, I was hoping someone might have some knowledge of the inner workings of the car to see if it could be a sensor or something else disconnected while they were painting the front end that would have caused that alert to go off?

Other than that the car has been solid minus the rattling exhaust issue which seems to be extremely common on these cars.

Well I see this didn't really get any traction.

However, I do have an answer for what ended up happening.

They didn't plug in everything up front properly when they re-installed the bumper.

They fixed it without any other issues after they found out what happened.

Do you know what exactly they failed to plug in? I was trying to think of what sensor would be up there but couldn't come up with one...the yaw sensors in the Corvettes was always up in the center of the vehicle.

All he told me was that they plugged some harness into the wrong spot. I didn’t really think of asking in detail what exactly they managed to mess up at the time... :(

I was just happy I didn’t have to let the car sit there over the weekend while they ordered some part they claimed wasn’t working that they needed to replace.

I’ll have to look at the paperwork when I get home to see if they listed anything about it. And if not on there I’ll call the body shop/service center for clarification. That way if someone else has this issue they can tell their shop to double check it.

I honestly forgot about this thread. I never went back to ask what exactly they didn't plug back in. I suck. Sorry. :/

However, if you're having a problem with it and you know they removed the front bumper off your car, I'd have them go back through and make sure everything is plugged in properly.
