On the damn list !!!

Not that I care living in Vegas, but my heated steering wheel never seems to stay on, and may as well have them address the damn vibration in the door

Mine has been in the shop since Monday for this recall and some other items...still waiting to hear what they found.

I would not go through the pain of this one unless the line absolutely needs to be replaced. If it doesn't I would just drop the transmission support, cut the bolt, and call it a day. I'll post the bulletin and procedure PDFs tomorrow.

Looking forward to your PDF, I've got access to a lift today.

Straight from the ACDelco TDS system. If you address the bolt itself before any issues have actually occurred I see zero reason to go through the pain of the actual line replace procedure. It just isn't necessary.

Good to know, thanks! Mine is going in next week, hoping just a bolt cut and be done.

I'll be looking at mine today. If I see anything that would change my opinion I'll post here.

I have over an inch of clearance from the bolt in question and the line isn't going anywhere.

Disassembly question, was reading the PDF's and the front fascia comes off, will this break the factory paint seal or is the fascia pre painted separately. Looks like lots of removals, steering assembly etc. With them checking the date code gotta be more then the bolt making a mark on the pipe, gotta be something more.

The fascia removal will not affect the paint in any way. It is a pretty easy process.

My guess is the pipe can rotate out of alignment and can lead to the issue with the bolt. They probably improved the retention of the pipe orientation on the newer units.

The dealership will not be touching my car. Ever. LOL

Same here, there is some wiggle in mine but I don't see it touching at this point. I will check it when I can...

I know everyone situation will be different, and it all just depends, but my dealership just told me that they have done about 20 cars already and so far none needed the full replacement after being inspected so he said most people will not have to go through the really invasive replacement process. Scheduled my inspection for next week so well see how it goes...

Early production models are the ones needing replacement. If the production date on your car is after mid-June of 2016 you should be OK. That is the date code being checked on the replacement parts. Verts are not included, they don't have the diff cooler.
