Similar conditions here now, I actually took my car to work today, and am at lunch...a/c was on, no fogging at all.

Wasn't someone supposed to make a nice cover for the top vent for the people who had issues?

First time seeing this thread, had i known about this, likely would have purchased a different car. Customer satisfaction, let alone safety issues, should be a concern for GM and these complaints should not have been stonewalled.

I only have 200 miles on my car, but will be looking out for the problem.

Yeah... haven't heard from him in a while. I wouldn't mind some a little more permanent than the base board I've been using.

Seem like this issue is very active during summer(except for you lucky folks in warm FL ) . If someone was to develop a solution now would be the time to get the inventory ready.

Sorry to say but in warm HUMID Florida during the summer I had this issue with my AC on. I had to keep turning on my wipers to clear. With that AC hitting the w/s with that little bit of cold air, condensation builds very quickly on the w/s and fogs it up.

we should all spam Al. O and get him to fix it. If enough people voice their opinions, something moves.

If the dealer won't fix it, file a BBB complaint.

It CAN and SHOULD be repaired.

Customer complaint:

"A/C mode door leaking cold air onto windshield via defroster ducts, causing poor visibility."

Which could cause accidents and lawsuits.

I can see, well cant see and accident happening to one of us in the near future because of this problem, GM needs to put a Campaigne(Recall) on it now

Is this issue limited to 2016 model year?

This is the reason I am still hesitant to pull the trigger on a 6th gen. Unlike many of the issues posted in this subforum, the windshield fogging does not look like an isolated incident. More disconcerting is that GM sees this as normal.

I have a '17, live in FL, no issues fogging yet...

Personally, it did not hold me back and really isn't what I call a good reason to not get the car. It can be easily "remedied" by blocking the vent on the small percentage of days it becomes a real issue.

+1, when I first heard about this issue it made me question my decision, but didn't know it was such a simple DIY fix.
