Yeah it will be absolutely terrible that Ford can build 1 car that can compete with the best of both GM and Fiats one trick ponies.

the Z28 killed the 1LE at the LL and the 350R killed the Z28 at the Ring so how do you come up with the 1LE being remotely close to the 350R. Its laughable. Last edited by FastCarFanBoy; 01-20-2019 at 12:24 PM. |

Try Willow springs, LS, motortrend fiqure 8. Also, MT H2H with 350r vs z28, the also used the tp350. The 350 was 3 sec slower then the R with same driver same day. So when I see the 1le within 3 sec of R, it beats the gt350. Even on one track, the 1le had same time as R, and that was same driver. And if your going by LL Times, the the R gets beat by a outgoing z28. So you can’t have it both ways.

... the base 350 is on SC2's not PS these days with revised suspension and aero. The delta between it and the R is less than it was in past years. 1LE won't touch it. |

The GT500 should be able to knock off the ZL1 at everything or it is a failure. It should be faster than the 11:00s for the HC or it is a failure.

What's terrible is that it took them 6 years to do what GM did in 1 year and what Dodge has been doing since 2015. What's terrible is that the GT350 was a fire hazard the likes of which I've never seen. What's terrible is all the engine problems that are prevalent on the S550s. WHat's terrible is that the PP2 overheats. What's terrible is that the entire platform had to be extended for an entire year so Ford could work out the kinks. What is funny is that the GT500 ain't gonna beat the ZLE on a track or the Redeye on the straights no matter how much time Ford put into it. Even funnier is that it will cost a hell of a lot more than the ZLE. What has me laughing at you is that even if it is some super spectacular car that you think it'll be, for all your bragging and big talk, I'll be more likely to have one parked outside than you, lol!! If I get one, you can swing by and look at it.

Wow, the trolls are out in force now, as is typical when a new Mustang model is revealed.
That Carbon Track Pack or whatever really looks aggressive. Of course the weight is still unknown, so taking that off the table, I see no reason this option won't be able to beat the ZLE. It seems like a similar situation from the previous Gen, let's see if the issues from last Gen were corrected and this thing can lap over and over again. I am expecting really impressive performance from this car, the weight is the real unknown though. If this car is really 4200+ pounds, that will be a real shame. These Mustangs need to go on a diet!
