The sealant is some sort of blue deal, looks like gun blue to be honest. Anyway it is not something that you can apply yourself. I reused my old lines, no issues. I did buy a new line for the LPE big bore install, because this will be a more permanent build.

Honestly for under 100 bucks why is it worth a try. You've spent all the time removing the manifold and changing the pump to me its a no brainer. I've had mine off a 1/2 dozen times and would not take a chance. I have new ones right now as I'm pulling the Blower back off to do the lash cap on the pump. If it leaks and for some reason catches fire was it really worth it not to change it?

Agreed...the shop helping me said they will change them from here on out even though mine was the first to have this issue. 100.00 is not worth a fire and thousands in damage.

My friend says it is not a sealant or thread locking compound - it is lubricant since it is stainless on stainless. GM actually made a running change at one point to a clear lubricant vs the blue as it was being mistaken in the field for loc-tite

Agreed, I have seen one of the replacement ones, unlike the original there is no blue seal on the replacement ones, must be clear if it is there.

yep my new line is clear. I think I'm done now with the big bore, new line, big injector, e85, and the secondary fuel pump and twin fuel lines... Lingenfelter said this new pump is the same unit that is supporting their new big fuel lobe cam... ain't changing the cam... too lazy.

There are 2 pipes you need.
12677004 $25.93 ($38.42) and 12677002 $44.13 ($65.38) That's what I paid. Retail is of course the higher prices I listed.
I bought the LT4 pump and injectors. I also bought the 12618337 hard line. Do I also need the two lines you mention? Along with the line I bought? Or did I buy a line I do not need?
