Their car is already heavier than the Camaro.

By the time you add all the heavy duty components such as brakes,axles,coolers for everything,body kit and every bell and whistle(I doubt it comes stripped with roll ups and cloth seats) this thing will be around 4000lbs.

The ZR1 is over 3300 and its CF and FG.

And for the most part, ChefBorOzzy is correct. Little new information. I was surprised to find that the 5.2SC is more differentiated from the 5.2 Voodoo than I had initially thought. Of course we’ve known for a while that the SC would have a cross-planed crankshaft instead of a flat-planed crankshaft. It will also have different heads, valves, valve seats and other critical components. The Ford Performance Chief that was being interviewed by American Muscle stopped short of saying that the rods and pistons are also different. Mainly because he was specifically asked if the rods were forged. He clearly didn’t want to answer that and said that more will be revealed later. One thing that REALLY surprised me is that the “shifter” is a dial instead of a floor mounted shifter. I get that most will manual shift the car with the paddles, but some, especially coming out of a manual trans, may prefer to manual shift with a floor mounted shifter.
