Wow, those are impressive numbers.

Any issues with the whipple install? any custom fab? any watchouts for someone going this route?

The Whipple Kit install. Whipple, Pulleys are a direct bolt on... The Coolant Tank and Dry sump lines required a lot of mods... but overall a easy - mod install.

You will not believe the Horsepower you will Gain... My car is a Monster... And with only 8 pounds of boost @ 7000 rpm’s on pump gas 93’ with little timing at all the motor was increasing in HP with every dyno run...
We only stopped due to Knock... but the Meth will allow us to increase the Boost and timing and we really believe we can safely get to 900 RWHP with stock Short Block and Heads.. This car is a Blast to drive and It will stand toe to toe with like modded cars.. The Mantic Clutch upgrade is a must!

My '15 Z28 has 543 RWHP and is very loud with headers and exhaust. I haven't been pulled over yet. I'm 71.

i'm sure you already realize that pre-compressor meth won't cool nearly as much as a direct-port setup on a PD blower, right? it's basically just an octane booster.
...granted, the extra cost is why i didn't go that route on mine.

and is your cam the n/a or PD stg4?

N/A Stage 4 Cam And the meth is only for cooling the aircharge.

what i was getting at is that you may be cooling it in the intake tube, but then you're heating it right back up when it runs through the compressor lobes. sure, it starts your IATs with a lower baseline, but it still leaves a lot on the table. that's why it's a lot less effective on PD setups than with centri or turbo kits.

you still get the added octane benefits (whether it's tuned to take advantage of that or not... which it sounds like not = safe call).

just for gee-whiz info, i was about to get one of these kits to fab into my lower manifold so as to get the full cooling benefits as well, but i ended up doing an a/c chiller system instead.

Nice run, thanks for sharing the time slip. I ran a Vortech blown 5.0 liter stick Cobra mustang at Carlsbad when it was open. It dynoed at 525 hp at the wheels, but, I could never get a good time slip...., i could just break 11s with the cornering suspension setup and street tires. However, my top end mph was good at around 119 mph. Note: I blew 2 motors and killed 3 T5 trannys -- I kept turning up the boost -- don't do that, taking the train home is no fun.

I think your time is good. A stock Z/28 with an expert driver does 12.3 seconds at 117.2 mph (Car and Driver mag), but, your top end mph is low. Your dyno pull is great, so, you are making a lot of power, so, I am thinking your top end mph in the 1/4 mile should be over 126 mph. Keep working the tune and your shift points and make sure the nannys are not slowing you down. Do NOT increase the boost. Have fun, great car !

The car ran a higher mph...here’s a slip showing 122mph it did ran 128mph i cant find the time slip... The Issue is It was spinning though every gear and I had to petal off the line. Putting M/T on it and turning the Meth on Hoping for 10’s .

yeah, your mph sounds right now. I had the same problem with my blown 5 liter Cobra, I had to bog it in first, and you end up blow off the tires during the second and third shift, or lift shift to get traction and your time goes down. It was also set up for cornering.

My advice ? unless you want a 1/4 mile car, don't worry about the time. You are getting the mph you want, so, just have fun ! Your car must be a monster on the twisties. Great Build !

PS. Also, remember, boost numbers are different based on how well a car breathes, ie. the better an engine breathes, the less boost you will see on the dial. I bet 6 pounds of boost on that LS7 of yours would read 2 pounds more on a 5 liter, so, you are making a ton of power, and the LS7 is sucking up all that boost. No need to dial up more boost.
