I could never quite understand the "too much" thing. Coming from the world of very fast motorcycles, like Dirty Harry said, "A man's gotta know his limitations". Your foot (or wrist) is in TOTAL control of the machine. A fast car will NEVER do what you don't tell it to do. Maybe I'm just getting old.

What tires are you driving on in Fort Lauderdale? Because a ZL1 in the puddles will do things you don't tell it or want it to do. Promise you that. (if you see a gray ZL1 going 30 mph on I-595 in the rain - its me).

Then why do we need nannies to control all the HP?

Back when the C7 Z06 came out, my friends who had C6 Z06 weren't so sure about making the upgrade. One of the reasons was that even with the current HP levels we need ECUs to rein it in. So why get more HP?

LOL. Funniest description I've ever heard of a car.
But I get it. Sometimes you want to drive a smaller, more mellow penis.

I totally get ZX9rmal comment ! I purchased a brand new FZR 1000 at 21 years old, I had rode a few friend's bikes and mini bikes a few times, at 6,4 190 pounds then and 255 now I understand the need for nannies also. I'm not a person who drinks, or any other activities that causes bad judgement, that bike was 120 rwhp, I was shaking (2 years)for the 1st 30 minutes every time I got on. The acceleration was insane, Now 48 years later I ride 196 hp 115 Tq hayabusa , and a ZX14R 200 hp rwhp, and plan on a turbo busa.
Star trek speed !

Most people wouldn't have survived, I only showed out a few times to impress people, and I almost hurt myself with huge 11,almost 12 o'clock wheelies, I spent 85% of my time back road carving it up, and that made me a hell of a rider, The ZL1 is a beast when I test drove 2 of them ZL1 and a 1LE I was shocked when I down shifted to 4th and punched it at 50 mph it spun to the right, then got low and took off good, what in the world would have happened in 3rd gear ? Or 2nd at 30mph ? 50-60 % of these buyers don't even know what a true sports cars/ supercar, or s big bore sportbike is capable of ! Experience drivers don't need saftey nannies, a inexperienced driver with no since of caution can get themselves and others on the road killed. Keep the safety features and for the pros turn them off and know your target. I'm getting a ZL1 1LE , and I promise you this ! I'm going to respect it more than my bikes, because it takes time to master a animal, and you haft to be a animal/ Alpha your self to tame the beast !
