Yea. It's part of the design of the car. It's not bleeding light. It's LEDs back there meant to do that. You can turn off your ambient lighting and it will go away. But that means ALL ambient lighting.
Edit: But you've already figured this out now. I'd say just put some electrical tape over it if you don't like it? Although that may be noticeable.
