My 2nd Gen 6

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and traded in my 2016 Camaro SS (bought new) for a new 2019 Camaro SS 1LE. Was thinking of getting the 2020 but then found a great deal on a 2019 Shock Camaro. Maybe the great deal was because of the colour.

I really liked modding my 2016 but not sure what route I am going to go with the new car. Maybe just keep it stock, but very happy to be in a manual again.

I will have to change my signature and rename my member name, Blackbeast just doesn’t fit the Shock colour.

People complain about the front end refresh on the 2019 SS’s. But, with black hood and the shock green, it looks pretty nice in my opinion. Most of the colors look good on the 2019’s when there are other black accents on the car (black wheels, hood, stripes, etc.)

Nice car!

Congratulations on your Shock 2019 SS 1LE! Enjoy the drive and the M6. Keep it stock is my idea!

My 2017 ZL1 I bought used back in March and traded in my 2016 2SS that I bought new in on the Z! Couldn’t afford a new ZL1 so I went the used route!

Nice ride man. Who makes the hood on your 2016? Looks like a non ridiculous copo hood.

can you post your thoughts about modding or not modding the 1le? I know you went all out on your 2016. Was it worth it to you? does the 1le feel much better in some ways?

The hood was needed for the High Ram.

Good for you and congratulations!

I too am on my 2nd Gen6 Camaro... I love this platform and can’t get enough of it. I do wish I could go back and not trade my 2017 2SS in on the new one. Even my wife told me a the time to keep the yellow SS and just buy the ZL1 without a trade. My conservatism got the better of me.

Congrats and welcome to SHOCK club! I traded in my 2016 1LT V6 for a 2020 SS 1LE in Shock a few months ago.

Post some pictures of it in the Shock color photo thread!

I am actually not sure what to do to the car. I went to far last time, then I got To a point that I was scared of breaking parts after I blew my half shaft off.

Thoughts will be coming. Did my first lame ass mod yesterday, 3 tinted windows deep black. So far what I can take away from the car is handling is great and feels heavy in the steering wheel like the SS but a bit more solid. I like a heavy steering wheel. Going from auto to manual is fun and will be cheaper to Cam it.

Mods in the future if any. (Have the factory upgrade air intake)
1. Headers and a true free flowing exhaust.
2. E85 with tune of course.

That’s probably it. I will miss the cam sound. So I have to fight the urge to do that.

BTW the 2016 mods and sound of that beast made me smile every time I started that engine. Worth it!

Congrats. I recently picked up a 19 SS 1LE as well. Great car, and I really like the 19's style on the 1LE. I get more complements on this car than any other I've ever had. Plus I feel that the 19 SS cars have the potential to be pretty desirable in a few years. They didn't make a bunch of them and they were a one year deal. Not a lot of people thought a Foxbody LX 5.0L notch was a better looking or more desireable car than a 87-93 GT until 10 or 15 years after they went out of production. Now notches are very desirable cars that pull good $.

Very nice car BTW.

Congrats on the new car! I love the 1LE's.

Question: Why would it be cheaper to cam the manual? Both auto and manual LT1's have the AFM hardware, even though manuals have it tuned out of the way.
