Anyone run Firestone Firehawk Indy 500?

Looking to buy a set. Anyone with really world experience on these?
How is the tread life?

I ran a set on my 15 Mustang GT/PP1 and they were very very good, great in the rain, rode nicely, great grip, didn't have them on that car long enough to judge wear and mileage. They are NOT a PS4S substitute or a top tier max summer tire, and "for the money" usually was the qualifier in the good reviews. You can find a bit better info them when they were primarily overseas a few years ago as the Bridgestone RE003 (Bridgestone owns Firestone and the Firehawk name costs less, in a nut shell)

I put these on my 16 SS. I had them before.
Excellent in the rain. Tread life is good, should last >30k. I traded up before wearing them out. Note that the Firehawk Indys are rated for 168mph whereas the SS can exceed that speed.

30k? 30, 000 miles or kilometres?

I have about 12,000 miles on a set. Good tire. Good price. Great in rain. Not a high performance tire. Have another set of tires for racing.

How is the tread looking at 12k?
For me these will be a normal camaro driving tire, normal cruising around with some hard and fast here and there. No track or autocross. Hopefully they are good to go.

I've had these tires on other cars (not the Camaro, though) and liked them a lot. Very similar to a Michelin PSS; great in the wet and still plenty of grip to push a little in the dry if you wanted to. I wouldn't be shocked to hear of these tires lasting for over 30k miles on a Camaro if driven responsibly with a good alignment.

I would suggest getting your alignment checked and make sure toe and camber aren't at the spec limits. These cars are kinda all over the place from the factory, and having both of those at the limit of the spec range will wear your tires faster since the spec is relatively open.

Came OEM on my '02 Firehawk. Excellent tire IMO. As far as looks on the 6th Gen? Not so sure.

^ You might be thinking of the Firestone SZ50 EP. These are very different. If you're gonna track the car, spend the extra dough and get the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. I got 28,000 miles out of mine.
