I have been searching high and low as well.

There are some online Chevrolet parts stores that will enable you to order 10 qts at a cheaper cost; however, they'll send an e-mail stating they can't ship it out.

Speedway is your best option right now...

For M1 0W-40 that is the best price I have seen in the past 2 month. Ebay has the same price, but separate sellers for filter an oil.

However, there are many Dexos2 oils (5W-40) out there at lower price points.

Have you guys tried talking to your local dealer parts manager? I had a quick talk with mine and I obviously pick it up, but I get the same for about $8.50 a quart. I’m just shy of $100 with tax for everything. $150 ish when I add the two quarts for the diff change.

Agreed.

I picked up 12 quarts for $99 shipped on eBay and purchased a bulk pack of filters at Rock Auto with a discount code.

Same price as current Speedway listing.

I just placed my order and of course the tax deal they added but with the 10 bucks off it came out to 103 so at least I will have oil for my 500 mile change, I have 200 miles to play with before then.

Good deal, and if you are a 1st time shopper at Speedway, you can get a $10-off coupon on top of this special.

$8.33 a qt. is about as cheap as you can find order enough to qualify for free shipping and no tax!

I bought a drum at $4.XX a qt.

Placed my order last week with Speedway.
Should be here by Thursday or Friday.

Tried to make an appointment with Chevy Dealership they wanted me to wait for 3 weeks or leave the car with them!

No thank you! I’ll be doing my 500 mile oil change myself!

Just my $.015...

Find yourself another dealership to change the oil because if there is an engine failure, GM may weasel their way out of executing warranty repairs due to owner non-maintenance compliance.

I would want the initial oil change on the Chevrolet dealership servers.

I get my oil and filter on Thursday, now I have to order the Diff fluid, but the big question is that do I need to do the 1500 mile change knowing that I spent 100+ bucks and have to it all over again, I mean that the 500 mile change is to get rid of the break in oil, at least I know where to get the oil from when I need it (the book says every 12000 miles).
