I think in terms of wheel design I like the Looks of the 1LE and ZL1 wheels a little more though. I'm sure these wheels are lighter and likely one size smaller so for performance I'm sure they are better. But in terms of styling I think the 1LE and ZL1 wheels are nicer looking.

I am almost wondering if this is a ZL1 with a new type of aero pack on it.

I can't imagine the numbers of this "BEAST" if my statement is true! I stated the same with the ZL1...I think the Camaro Group caught the Corvette group napping and decided to wake them up! All the pieces came together when the bean counters started sharing platforms, info, and engines...I think Big Brother got lazy and Little Brother was hungrier....I suppose the next Corvette update, will return the World to it's proper axis!lol |

The aero bits are too much for me, but I can certainly appreciate that GM is going all out with a track attack model which looks to be a serious contender. I do love the size of the tires and noticed it has flares like the 5th gen Z/28 and a lot of camber.

Z/28 for sure. ZL1.R, or 1LE.R would be sweet, but would leave zero room for an actual Z/28 to arrive. There'd be no need.
But I think the answer is more obvious. Its a Z/28, with the LT4. It will be a stripped down ZL1, without the interior features, and plenty of weight savings to offset the performance additions. The big question for me is whether the Z/28 will come standard with the Carbon brakes and the extra downforce stuff (basically give you the best track version and that's it) or will they include this stuff in the "Race" package, and it not be included on the standard Z/28? My opinion, but those that want to have the option of adding all the interior creature comforts and features, but still want a track capable car just need to be shopping the ZL1. Those that want a super track focused ride will want the Z/28. If the CC brakes and extra aero are standard, I don't look for it to be less than the $75K asked for the 5th gen.

Damn, the down force must be insane. I am not big on the 6th gen looks but it does look like it means business. The performance just keeps getting better and better.

I personally think the Viper ACR is badass, and an uncompromising track car. If that's what the 6th gen Z28 is that would be pretty cool IMO
