Key fob doesn't work at times

I usually remote start my car in my room but these past two days it isn't working correctly unless I get closer. Another issue is when I get in the car it wouldn't be able to push the break pedal and I get an error message saying my key isn't in the car despite it being in my hand. The lock and unlock as well as unlocking the trunk button works normally

I was getting some message with a low battery on the dash but then the body shop replaced the battery for me and never once seen the message again

Get a new fob battery and replace the break pedal with a brake pedal.
