Carvana Ad

I just saw this Carvana ad on tv. I don’t know how they thought no one would notice them calling a 5th gen convertible a 6th gen coupe!

Hopefully that's just an example and not a real ad.

If some idiot did buy that thinking it's really a 2016, bought it and the VIN and all is 2015 when they call their insurance and register it then Carvana could be sued for false advertising.

Of course we on here would easily see that but I'm sure some moron doesn't know the difference between a 15 and 16 who's car shopping.

I would never buy a car from these Carvanas and Carmax. They're always overpriced and I've heard bad stories about their cars being clunkers and such.

One of my co-workers bought a (I think, not sure on the year) 2015 or 2016 C7 Corvette from Carvana... So far, (as far as I know) it has been fine, not sure of the price he paid, but it was a fairly decent car from what I can tell... I would be REALLY reluctant to buy a car of that value, site unseen...

I agree. Flying Wheels channel that used car lot guy who does videos about his own business bought a Vette that way online from an auction I think it was. Turns out it had a lot more wear than the pics shown and the rear spoiler had some kind of screws screwed into it holding it down lol.

I would NEVER buy a car online. The prices are screwed up as well on those sites like Carmax. So many shady stories about that. Why would I pay 3 grand more to buy a car from Carmax or Carvana? That's about how much more they charge for a used Mustang GT or Camaro SS compared to the typical car lot and usually the car lots Mustangs and Camaros will have less miles too. When I was looking Carmax on Mustang, Camaro and Scatpacks were at least 3 grand more than car dealers wanted. Plus that doesn't including haggling at the dealer.

When I was looking at car listings last Sept, Carmax had used Camaro 1SS like 2018 for maybe about a grand cheaper than a 2020 Camaro 1ss brand new left over at a local dealer. Why would I spend that when a local dealer has the same car for newer and not much more? Same with the base model Mustang GT. I could have got a new 2020 GT for just 2 grand more than Carmax wanted for ones like 3 years old.

They have been using that incorrect graphic rep of the Gen6 cars for a LONG time, and it has been brought up on this forum quite a bit.

Their sales model is one I will -never- go along with, so I'll never be buying anything from them.

Nothing says "we don't really care" quite like an online car dealership using an incorrect representation for years.

Idiots Unite!

Plus it’s for the same price the dealer I traded in my ‘18 SS got that still had factory warranty left, a Borla Exhaust & $1K worth of new Michele rubber got. *cough*Rip Off*cough*

& I doubt the one on that ad is even a vert.
