Although you and other fanboys like to fantasize that GM is just struggling to move ZL1s and that they're all just sitting on lots rusting and nobody wants them and GM is losing tons of money on them, I assure you that it is all just a fantasy of yours. Many of us paid MSRP and got rebates for our ZL1s and would have bought them even without the rebates. Fact is that GM is offering these prices not because it isn't selling but because they want to make it more appealing to people who might be shopping for a Vette or a SS. Or even for a Shelby. Why by a lesser performing GT350 non-R when a better performing ZL1 is virtually the same price? And if anything look at every car in the same price range as the ZL1. If you wanted a car strictly for the performance capabilities then you would pick the ZL1 hands down over anything else.

No arguement from me the ZL1 is the Faster car. If you are chasing numbers this is the car to have, the most balanced.

Don't be angry at me because the prior Gen ZL1 values flatlined in comparison to the Shelby. People are paying what they think the car is worth, and that number is approximately 10k less.

But why are people paying ADMs on the Shelby? It's not because they think it's an amazing car. They're doing it because it is very limited and they think it's gonna turn a profit in the future. Lots of people missed out on the Ford GT boat. Those cars were $130K-$150K brand new. No ADMs at all. Now they're worth almost half a million bucks. People missed out on that boat. Dealerships missed out on gouging their customers. So now everyone is trying to take advantage of it. THAT is why people are buying the Shelbys. Same reason why some people paid up to $40K ADM on the Demon. Not because they're gonna enjoy it and driving the car is worth it. They're paying that much solely because it is a one year production, there are only 330 in existence, and they think it'll quadruple it's value. The Shelby is not some manufacturing masterpiece. It is not some performance masterpiece. It does not have anything notable. It can't even beat it's current competition. People who are paying that extra money only do so because they are looking to make a buck. And it ain't gonna happen. Even if 25 years from now it retains it's MSRP value you still will have lost the ADM.

That is garbage, lol!! No heated seats. No heated steering wheel. No cooled seats. And look at that infotainment screen. It has the base model GT stuff in it. Gross. At least all the ZL1s have 2SS stuff and more in them. When I saw the price I thought I might be tempted to pay that considering how much the 2SS and GTPP Premium go for. But looking at the (lack of) options I gotta say I wouldn't buy that car if it was $50K flat.

This one here was $67K MSRP and down to $62K. I've seen quite a few ZL1s with A10 trans and M6 trans going for less than this price.

Funny awhile back I was being labeled a Dodge fanboy in this forum 😁. IMO the new GT doesn't look very good nor does the SS which is the exact reason I still have my Boss. Would I love to have a new ZL1, GT350, Hellcat, I sure would.

I know a lot of the Chevy dealerships were running $1000 rebate for people who were competing owners to buy a new car.....and I know for awhile they also ran $1000 for returning Chevy owners...

Those are rebates they run pretty much every day....regardless of the car...

Can't speak for the specific deal you may be referencing...but I do know they run those two deals pretty regularly..
