2018 Camaro Z/28 Missing in Action?
I have been following the Z/28 which now some people think is the GT4.R. But the GT4.R is based on the ZL1 and has borrowed the wing we have seen on the rumored or speculated Z/28. I honestly feel GM is going to reveal the ZR1 and Z/28 around the same time. Both street legal track focused cars that will be limited production. I wouldn't be shocked if they shared the same power plant among many other bits and pieces.
What are your thoughts? Note: GM has not confirmed a ZR1 or Z/28 to my knowledge, but these spy cars are something... and I think the 2018 model year will be a good one.

The ZL1 and Z/28 seem to share a lot, at least when it comes to the A pillar forward. The difference is the Z/28's fascia is modified for the dive planes. There is no reason to test a race car on the street, so the big aero Camaro is obviously a street car.
I have a feeling the Z/28 will be revealed around the same time as the GT4.R, if not side by side.

For what it's worth, I saw the camo'd up "Z/28 mules", one with a big wing, one without while driving through Yuma, Arizona 19 January, on I-8. They were in a convoy with a '17 ZL1, '15 Z/28 and a '17 ZO6.
