best spark plug wires
I am needing to replace my factory wires cause im sure the car is starting to have a small miss in it. Car has headers and the factory wires are still on it. Was that way when I bought the car a month ago. Besides MSD are there any others that are better or as good for the around the same price as MSD wires?

I used a combination of stock, stock with no steel sleeve + fiberglass insulation and 2 locations that I have ceramic angle boot wires, I think they are MSD wires. IMO there is NOTHING wrong with properly loomed stock wires.

Stock wires with fiberglass sleeves. You’ll be fine.

mine still have to steel sleeves on them too. I would just leave the stock wires on there if I wasnt constantly hearing a small miss in it at idle and especially when you hit the gas in like 3rd gear at low rpm's where it puts a load to it. Really sounds like its missing then. Its a M6 by the way. Kind of supprised it hasnt thrown a check engine light doing it. Guess its not bad enough for that yet.

So removing the metal sleeves and putting the cloth ones on there will be better?

If you need clearance and a bendable boot I think the msd is sufficient

By removing the sleeve you can bend the wire sooner, I made two brackets that bolt to the valve cover so the wires "pull away" from the header. I use bent ceramic boots in these two locations now. Either way works fine.

One of best spark plugs wires you can get are Granatelli. 0 ohms, but high price. Personally I don't think the price is worth the extra 4 HP. I love the idea of a thorough burn, but it's just too expensive.

I here that. How much are those Granatelli wires? Like 300 dollars? Compaired to like 85 for the MSD.

Stock wires have little to no resistance. CSP did a comparison and they had less resistance then MSD. None of them have enough resistance to cause any power loss. The granatelli are made very well and bend easy but they are expensive. I would probably just buy a new set of stock units and put sleeves around them.

Stock wires are good. If you think you have a bad one ohm them out.

I've used the MSD wires, not impressed. I would look into Taylor. The boots swivel nicer and definitely invest in the metal sleeves for the added protection.

i don’t like how short the msd wires are, but there’s a set on my car. other than that, they’re ok. being able to bend the boot is nice.
