Did you race him Wyzz Kydd or let him go on about his way? That’s what I do in my ZL1, just let them go on and it looks like it irritates them when I do that! Oh well!

I just let him go, the same as I do to the trucks, Maximas, Optimas, and last week a Camry of all things. Sometimes I wonder what they're thinking though. Do they really think they could win?

I guess they do or want to see us race them! I usually don’t give them a look or satisfaction of racing!

My Corsa Cat-back has that effect on people. It's like they get personally offended. More times than not as I am slowing down and needing to downshift (always with rev matching on), people just react to it by wanting to keep pace or pass me up.

For most, I think rev matching says to them "race", especially with an exhaust system. A lot of people are still in the dark about the purpose of rev matching and it is just now starting to be a common feature on manuals.

Well, no, a spoiler spoils lift and adds drag, but doesn't add downforce. A wing would add downforce, but a wing or spoiler bigger than stock is going to add more drag. The engineers thought about this when they designed the car, going with what was the best balance to retain speed. Adding too much drag affects acceleration and top-end, but downforce helps it stick in corners, so it's a balance. Unless you have data that shows on our specific cars that this is making them faster around a track, I call BS.

Wings increase drag and provide downforce, spoilers DECREASE drag by redirecting airflow and they reduce lift.

that's why you see school buses with spoilers then. It actually causes the wind stream to close the back draft behind the car. like a cork in a bottle, adding an air hole help equalize the suction left over. not so sure that the net effect is drag. front air dam is probably more important to keep car from lifting.
just my 2cents.

Spoilers reduct air to reduce lift and drag. Wings provide downforce.

A spoiler radically increases drag and decreases lift, the name inherently means "spoil lift", "spoiler". When you produce an object in the airstream at an extreme angle, like a spoiler, it creates airflow separation, which is an extreme amount of drag. Nearly every sharp or abrupt corner does this, sometimes on a much smaller scale, but a spoiler is basically doing it on a macro scale. Don't take my word for it, go look at any wind tunnel video.

See below picture. Words escape me, it’s called a tow strap. My personal thoughts if it’s a tow hook or strap it should only be used or in place when your at the track. I consider seeing the baby soother sticking out of the front bumper on the street tacky.
