These are the shift points on my last pass of the night. The car hooks well with no tire spin off the line and an extended chirp on the 1-2 shift. Brett may be right that the car is shifting before or at the 60' but how can I tell from my logs ? I do see the 1-2 happens at 47mph. The almost 99mph at the 1/8 is a personal for me so far so I'll take it. I dont like the KR coming on at the 2-3 either.

I did slice it too thin on some shift points and hit the rev limit on the 3-4, 4-5 and 5-6...yes, I needed 6th grrr. I did not feel the stumble but I'm sure it didn't help any. My next time out I will up the limit to 6700. TM is turned off

Advice ?

Email me the log bro. I think I am seeing some F'ed up stuff going on. Your TB blade is closing, you have KR at 25* on E and other stuff. Actually, send me your tune as well. I will look at them tonight when I can get to the internet on my lap top.

I log with EFI Live cause I can highlight sections and get a time for that section. HPT doesn't do that. I look at when I go WOT and the car starts to mph and drag across to my 60ft in seconds. i.e. 1.45 seconds into the run I was going x mph and was at x rpm.

Will do. Yeah I saw the tb closing and was a little confused because it hasn't happened on previous passes. I data log on the wife's computer and it wont let me export for some reason, I'll have her help me send it when she gets home.

Forgot to include that E content was a shade under 77 and the DA was just under zero (-16) after my first pass yest.

E at 77% will take 30* of timing with no KR. DA should have helped you out a bit with this. The TB closure is due to three tables, well six actually. The are all tied together. Your driver demand/throttle map tables need to be raised first, then the Engine allowable TQ and finally the Trans allowable TQ. After that you will need to get into the Torque Coefficient tables if those tables don't take car of all of it. I just tuned a GS last week with my heads and ported top end. When the TB blade closed to 70% we lost 40rw on the dyno. I made further adjustments and all was well. Welcome to making power bro.

Nice job!

How did you get your shifting sorted? Did you have to do something similar to what I mentioned in my previous post or is the A8 different? I was looking at my factory tune last night and can see why my car is short shifting 1st. My commanded wot shift mph is set to 19mph in normal. I would think it needs to be 46mph like the rest of the tables. I can run 3 tenths faster manually shifting with the shifter, which should not be the case imo.

Also not to hijack your thread but what was your stock commanded timing? 22 degrees is what mine shows.

NOOOO. These cars need lead time mph. More than we think actually. I will have to go back and look at my original tunes before the converter. I don't think my 1st gear mph ever exceeded 32 mph. Could have been 31 mph for a 6,400 shift. With the converter and no lock up I am at 25 mph in 1st.

The rest you are correct on. The three driving tables at 80% throttle and above need to match your WOT shift mph's.

Stock commanded spark once it is all sorted out through adders and subtractors should be 24* to 24.5* at WOT.

Yea I figured it needs lead time but 19mph seems to be set rather low. I was planning on moving it up in 5mph increments until it shifts the commanded rpm. My first gears shifts @ 5500 rpm instead of 6200. The part shift tables are all commanding 44-46mph above 80%. I am only getting 22 degrees timing but not showing any KR all the way up to 6400. Anyway, back on topic.
