Good luck with your search, the one with the blue grips is my dream gun. They say the gray P01s with the threaded barrel are impossible to find too. Supposedly only 200 of the OD green ones like mine were imported this year. I know they did another batch back in 2014.

It would be whatever gun I'm carry at the time. I'll explain...any gun that I carry, whichever it may be at the time, has been tested, on the range, of course, with PD ammo, thru many draws from concealment, so that I can protect myself, family, or others, if needed.

It's funny... if I asked that question 30 years ago, I'd bet 90% of responses would be a large caliber revolver. It was a real rarity to see someone bring out a semi auto to shoot, usually world war era 1911's, Lugers or P38's.

You old timer LEO's... when did you trade your six shooter for auto loader? late 80's early 90's? Why? Hi cap? I know that high profile LA bank robbery shootout got a lot of folks thinking.

I'd still carry a wheel gun even if I knew i'd have to use it, but I'd be more confident with the hi-cap semi-auto, along with the quick reloading.

Other than collectors, have wheel guns gone extinct?

No, they are around. I have a few, hell one is older than me by around 18 years, a colt scout 62, that i received from my father in law. With that being said, I believe it is due to the growth of semi autos. Granted, I have only been around a relatively short while <40yrs, so semi autos is what has been around/advertised the most recently.

But who carries one daily? My county sheriff carries a da revolver in a cross draw holster but I can't think of anyone else...

The reason I asked, I'm considering the new vaquero as edc but that's like wearing a bolar hat. Kinda out of style but what a sweet gun.

Anyone here Have had a go with LWRCs D.I Rifle?
Must be overstock/clear out because of the new M-lok versions coming. Was $1599 at release, down to $1400 and lately you can snap them up for around $1050. That is a bargain. DPMS is still $1000+ for some models Lol.
I have had BCM and Daniel Defense but the Ambi controls and LWRCs good rep has me interested.
Opinions?

Brownells has Geissele triggers on sale as well....a few bucks less. Fyi
