Cags cable

Anyone bought a cags cable for their 2018? I bought one that claimed to fit a 2018 and gm changed the cable.

I bought the Muzzy's cable from Amazon. It fit my 2018 but I did get a CEL. Been meaning to pull it off and check the resistance but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Cags

I bought the muzzy cable too, plug is different on my 2018. I looked in the 2017 manual and that plug is different. New one is symetrical. Looks like an H from the end. What is a CEL

Check engine light.

Sure you're pulling the right plug?

Better check your cable supplier, or check that you're pulling the right cable - the CAGS cable has been the same since 1990 on the first Corvette ZR1 6 speed.

Cags

Its the only one on the drivers side the pokes directly out towards the tunnel. I think they changed it because too many people were bypassing it. Unless you have a 2018 like i do you dont know.

Send a message via AIM to Mr. Wyndham
Phastek's version worked flawlessly on mine.

Make sure you're not looking at the reverse lockout. That was a big problem on the 5th gens. It's the easiest one to get to and maybe they changed the connector on the 6th gen so it's different. Dealer did mine at 1st oil change so I don't know if they changed them or not.

I have a 2018. I literally installed my CAGS cable a week ago. The connector fit fine.

Thank you for posting that! I have the connector at home waiting for the car and I was having anxiety over this thread. I figured it wouldn't change since it's been the same for a couple decades now.

Cags

Hard to believe a dealer worked on that. Its an emmisions device and illegal for a dealer to mess with. Mustangs dont have cags because ford pays the feds for the polution.

They did not change a single thing in the 6 speed manual transmission or emission controls from 2016-2019.
