New NHL team: Las Vegas Golden Knights - Page 6

Last night during the game the announcer was talking about one Knights defenseman who was a healthy scratch for 20 games last year. I wasn't paying that much attention at the time so I can't recall who it was. But this is a group of guys that had something to prove and they're doing it. The odds haven't been unfairly stacked in their favour.
I really hope the Jets win the cup this year though. Bring the cup back to Canada where it belongs.

Kind of funny how all of a sudden the team was “loaded” from day 1, yet no one said that day one, and they had 150 to 1 odds of winning the Stanley Cup, worst in the league, day one.

Well, I don't post here much, but I've said it in person quite a bit. It's a true statement...the team was far better off than many other teams in the league even...

They did themselves a lot of favors however by doing deals/trades early, and have worked the system very well. The ownership/management has done Vegas well, and that will continue to show up in their success moving forward.

Ovechkin is going to show up. He seems driven and determined and I think the caps will throw a lot of pucks at Fleury. It will come down to goaltending and Fleury may win it for the Knights, but I want to see Ovechkin win his first cup.

Man, the knights keep up a crazy pace, all their games have been fast paced offense wise. Looks like they're going all the way!

Sure was one heck of a first game. I can't see 10 goals being scored every game but that was definitely entertaining.
The Caps need to match their pace or start laying the boom to slow them down. Playoff hockey is the best!

These are the stats for 2017-18 Goaltenders, #2 on that list will tell you why Vegas is where they are. With out a world class or even a really good goaltender you`re not going anywhere in the regular season or the play-off`s. And Fleury has a lot of regular season, play-off and Stanley Cup finals experience.

Nope. No I was not.
Shouldn't you be cheering for LA, or San Jose, or Anaheim? Wait California gets three teams and Ontario can only have two. And Quebec only deserves one. I'd start another thread about Seattle getting an NHL team but I see how that goes.

This is looking like it will be a great series, and the post season has been great overall. Dallas is the closest place for me to catch a game and that is 6 hrs. away. I really miss the days when we had our ECHL team here.....

yeah if the Kings aren't in it I root for the next geographically closest team.
But srsly, LA's professional sports market is HUGH!

Seattle should get an NHL team!
