Picking up this 2017 1LT 4I tomorrow! Super Excited

Super excited to pickup this 2017 1LT tomorrow! I'm thinking of adding a front splitter and GM lip spoiler both in gloss black. My only worry is parking it at college in a sketchy neighborhood. Any ideas to protect it?

Try and rent garage space. If you want to keep it nice, keep it off the street when possible. Unfortunately, some people don’t like other people having nice things. Good luck, it’s a beauty!

Practice defensive parking! Park far away and never near cars with stick figure families on the back. Try to park uphill from cart returns and if you park too far away from other cars, people will try and mess with you. Soo many other things you'll learn in time but don't let that get in the way of enjoying your car. Nice ride by the way.

Congrats. Park in a well lit area....Park head in, backing out a stolen car takes extra effort...Don't lock it from a distance with the remote key fob, so the signal won't be captured, use the manual door locks....Don't leave any items inside, valuable or otherwise, visible from the outside....Good luck...don't worry, enjoy the car.

It's funny I park my car in a busy parking lot everyday. Don't bother with trying to stay far away from other vehicles or anything. Never had an issue. If you worry that much you will give yourself an ulcer. The fact is, eventually, no matter how hard to try to avoid it. Something will happen. That is what insurance is for if it even costs more than 100$ for PDR from a door ding.

Keep onstar if it gets stolen at least they could stop the car and find it.

I didn’t know that, do you know how much the OnStar service costs?

The most effective way to protect it is to have good insurance with a low deductible.. But don't spend your time worrying too much about that. Enjoy it!
