2018 ZL1 1LE OEM Wheel Weights

This may be in another thread but I couldn't find it prior to buying an additional set of OEM wheels. The front wheels are 27.1 lbs and the rears are 26.8 lbs. unsure why rears are lighter than fronts?

Nice! When I dropped my 2nd set off @ Costco to have MPS4's put on the guy who helped me unload the rims commented "Holy Shit these are pretty light!"

Why ARE the 19x12 rears lighter than the 19x11 fronts? This is odd.

Hello let me help out a little here.

The OE front wheel is a low offset / what this means is that there is much more aluminum mass on the center of the wheel which is also the heaviest part of any wheel no matter what the size and width may be.

Now compare that to the rear wheel being a high off set 42et or so/ the rear has a total of almost 20mm of aluminum mass taken off from the center of the wheel which = less weight. if the rear wheel was the same off set as the front then it will weigh slightly more then the front.

this is true to all wheels/ a low off set wheel will weigh in more then a high off set wheel compared to the same wheel design

same is with our rep version M716 the rear is around the 224-25 and the front is 26. some.

Billet Specialties says their 17x10 rears weighs 18.8#, which is significant
