Question on Tour/Sport/Track settings.......
.......I am looking at a 2019 2SS that does not have Magneride shocks listed on the window sticker. So without that option, what exactly do the different modes do?? Just steering weight and tranny response (it has the 10-spd) ?
thx |

The settings change the tightness of the steering wheel, the transmission shift points (if you have an automatic), how loud the exhaust is (if you have NPP dual exhaust), and the stiffness of the suspension (if you have MRC). Snow/Ice mode has more sensitive traction control and track mode will also make the throttle more responsive.

Thanks! So if I was to order a new SS stick, the only thing the modes would really tweak would be steering weight it sounds like. (I would never have it out in snow/ice, got a Z71 Tahoe for that)
I am festering on all these low mileage used ones considering I could order brand new and get it in 10 weeks and have ZERO miles on the paint, tires, brakes, wipers, etc. The used ones cost the same! |

The above forum link is talking about ZL1 1LE's. I have not been following what the current wait times are, nor the current constraints, but I can say I placed the order for my 1SS early September last year and got it delivered just before Christmas. If you check out the Camaro Price sub-forum, they should have a better idea of how long each trim type is taking to get delivered and what constraints are currently holding things up.

Tell them to write a contingency in the purchase contract that it is to be available for purchase by a specific date or THEY owe YOU money (beyond your deposit). They will laugh because they know there's no way they can deliver...

Go to the chevrolet.com website inventory listing, filter down to what you want, look at the configuration or window stickers... find one at a dealer already or in-transit. Call the dealer listed to see if its open for purchase. If it is, make your deal with the sales manager, and give them your deposit to lock it in. You might end up with a couple more small options your wouldn't have ordered, but you will get a car much faster. Check on 2022 and 2023.

Not if you are in the business to make money. Secure the cash, then break the bad news when he/she calls back in 10 weeks.
