Camaro SS vs Vette c6 ls3

Ive ordered a 2014 2SS/RS ls3 and im modding it with 1,7/8" LT headers w/o cats, cai inc cai, stainless works retro chambered cat back, sct x3 tune from janetty..
My best friend has a vette c6 -09 ls3 bone stock and we are constantly bashing about whos car will be the quickest in a straight line..
What do you guys think? Will I even have a chance?!
Both cars are MT.

my vote is for the vette... my 07 ls2 will out run with my intake and full exhaust 10 SS

Assuming everything goes well, your looking at 400-420whp with bolt ons and tune. Even if you upgrade suspension your probably going to loose. You weigh a lot more than he does (+400 lbs). Add a decent cam and ported heads and you can take him (if you want to claim N/A vs. N/A).

I think you should be able to take him. I'm only tune/exhaust on my GT and I have yet to lose to a stock LS2 or LS3 Corvette.

I have driven a stock LS2 vette and a stock LS3 and L99 camaro and the vette will take both of them without an issue. Adding those bolt ons won't change a thing thanks to the vette being so much lighter.

Is he manual? If he can drive an m6 he can hit 11's stock, you wouldn't stand a chance without a cam. If he can't drive you might have a shot

Very few have hit 11s stock, and most I've seen on the fast lists on their forums are well into the 12s. I think with the mods he has, if the vette is stock, he should be able to take it.

Yeah reason why I said "if he can drive"...But I don't feel confident that op can take him regardless, unless op is an incredible driver himself...

To give you an idea the mods on my cars are listed in my signature. The Corvette best is 12.75 @ 114 in 90 degree heat and the Camaro best is 12.97 @ 109 in 100 degree heat. Both are autos and were spinning ALOT both off the line and at shifts. I hope that helps.

Sooo, basically im screwed then..
Guess im gonna have to start thinking of a cam package then... Maybe give him a year or something and then go for it.

Just run him and see, everyone will have fun I promise.

Some five or six years ago I ran and skull drug a C5 vette with my 2005 Mustang GT w/bolt ons at the strip. Granted it was an automatic vert with a 2.73:1 rear end, basically the slowest C5 corvette ever made, but it was a blast all the same.

+1 08 LS3s pull my 2SS by 4-6 cars and all I have is an intake, with the mods he listed that should about even out that 5 cars.
