I have a local pet food company that delivers right to my door here in Cleveland. Lake Erie Pet Food Company.

  • No corn, wheat, gluten or soy
  • No meat or poultry by-products
  • No GMO grains, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
  • Made in Ohio with no ingredients from China

Food is made fresh in small batches locally at a facility that has been making premium dog foods for 40 some years and never had a recall on their foods. Ingredient lists have a ton of fresh veggies along with the protein chosen and not a ton of stuff you don't understand. Dog really likes it, too. I like the fact they produce the food every few weeks and it's not mass produced and sitting in distributors and stores for months on end. It's not badly priced, either. Between $2-2.50 per pound delivered to your door depending on protein, grain free or not, etc... Works for me.

Before I found this local company, I would buy various premium brands from Chewy or whatever else.

I have 3 dogs, they are within weight for their entire lives except one who recycles. They are 15, 14 and 13 have eaten Iams since day one.

Never been sick or to the vet for anything but rabies shots

Considering the return a pet gives to a family in the way of joy, love, and companionship why would one not feed their pet as well as they would feed their family? Take care of your investment and it will take care of you.

Ye, I read it and all my friends spoke about it. But I always cook food for my dogs myself.
The recipe is maximumly easy!

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups brown rice
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 pounds ground turkey
3 cups baby spinach, chopped
2 carrots, shredded
1 zucchini, shredded
1/2 cup peas, canned or frozen
DIRECTIONS:
In a large saucepan of 3 cups water, cook rice according to package instructions; set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the turkey as it cooks.
Stir in spinach, carrots, zucchini, peas, and brown rice until the spinach has wilted and the mixture is heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
Let cool completely.

I found it on this site - https://damndelicious.net/2015/04/27...made-dog-food/
