Mbrp with headers??

I am currently running the mbrp cat back system and was wondering how long tubes would line up, as the system is 3" but has the 2 1/2" factory slip connection point. I want to go the catted route but not sure if I can get 3" or have to get a 2 1/2" cats.
Thanks for any input. Was leaning towards kooks, but anyone with experience with anything else, feel free to chime in, as I could still be swayed

I'm running 3" MBRP with SW headers and cats, perfect. Great exhaust note, loud enough.

we run Kooks 1 7/8LTs with MBRP catbacks on most customer cars, the fitment is actually better than with stock manifolds to be honest. Ive done multiple C5 members cars and they work great

they look great, they sound great, they fit great, i wouldn't worry

But it hooks up to the 2 1/2" slip on the mbrp? Is there a way to get a full 3" from headers back?

Drone with MBRP, LT's and no cats? I went fromflowmaster American thunder to straight 3in muffler delete and am now searching for a loud exhaust with no drone with straight through muffler (no baffles)

If you dear you can cut the 2.5" connections off the MBRP front and use a 3"ID to 3"OD adapter to attach it to a 3" header cat connection or just sell your MBRP exhaust and buy a full header to 3" cat back setup, Even Stainless Works,(SW) sells a full 3 inch catback setup,

Trust me the 2.5 inch connection is not going to kill your hp or tq numbers and actually gives a little back pressure! If you don't want to run cats or pay a lot for headers this is what it will sound like! I love the power and sound the Pacesetter 1 3/4 headers make!! If I could do it all over again I would go with the ARH's from Auto Agenda!! Hope this helps, my mods are in my sig!! Good luck!

@John from Torq, the first car I heard on the net was your silver car that had the ARH's and the MBRP catback!! That's why I have it today, thanks!! Now I just need you to PM me the specs and prices on your ported heads!!

Most headers systems and catbacks are designed to work with the factory connection points. So like your catback most connection pipes (off road or with high flow cats) for headers go from 3" to 2.5" for easy install. Like mentioned above...it won't really effect performance much. If you really want to you can have a muffler shop chop out the 2.5" section and weld in a 3" pipe. Stainless Works long tubes are a great option to bolt right up to your MBRP.
