6.2L Hood Emblems GM OEM 84192174
I work at a dealership and I had been doing pretty delivery inspections on new high country 1/2 ton truck with the L87 (6.2) Engine. These trucks come with a chrome logo that says “6.2L” on each side of the hood center. I thought it’d be cool and custom to put them on my Camaro in the hood vent as shown. The part is #84192174 I ordered two, one for each hood vent and it was 8$ for both out the door. IMO it looks great and it’s a factory GM part. Fits right in easily and looks great! Just thought I’d share. Been stuck on for 6 months no issues, no peeling or losing sticky!

Very nice. It's about time someone did something custom with the air extractor vents.

Look good but I don’t feel the need to advertise my LT4! To each his own though!

I went for a slightly more subtle one and made these. Not sure if I should change the “455” for the horsepower, to “378” for the cubic inches.

Off topic but Im just curious how well do the heat extractors work on our cars? Do they do anything noticeable in terms of cooling?

They are considered to be Extremely Efficient even in a Track condition. They create a Venturi in a way to suck air in through the fascia and blow it out through the hood. After a hard race even you can leave it idle and feel the heat dissipation big time. Even better while driving
