Newbie advice on CAI, mods etc for V6 LT RS

Hi guys,
I just picked up a 2016 LT RS V6 automatic with 1,000 miles on it! It’s gorgeous!! This is my second Camaro and my head is spinning on what I can do to this beauty. I have my mind set on getting the MBRP axle back exhaust in black. I want to install CAI in my car and I’m stuck on what are considered the “better” ones out there as far as sound and performance? K&N, Roto-Fab, Cold Air Inductions, aFe Power etc?? Any advice would be great appreciated. 😊

I have a 2018 V6 and did a Flowmaster axle back (in black) and a Airaid tube with a K&N filter. It's as good as any CAI and it costs way less

I did a diy CAI years ago. But now I kinda like the idea of having the filter in a box? Not sure if that makes a difference besides keeping it dry?

Do a search on here on the Airaid modular intake tube with aftermarket filter. One guy did a before and after dyno on his V6 and gained 10 hp.

No problem, glad to help. BTW if you are considering the MBRP axle back, also check out the Flowmaster. It has a similar design, but in a tuned resonator. It sounds really good

I’m looking for a deeper exhaust with no cabin drone or very little.

That's exactly how it is. Do some searching, and listen to some videos. Originally I was looking at MBRP then Borla

Hey I get it...it's an addiction. Although not a wise one, at least it's not drugs or alcohol lol

I have an aFe CAI, but I also installed the Overkill throttle body.
There's definitely a difference in low-end performance.
Combined gains are supposed to be at least 25hp.

If I ever put in an axle-back, I'll go with one of the Borla's also.

Do you have a 93 tune?

No.
I just disconnected the fuses for the ECM while installing the tb, like Overkill recommended.
It adjusted from there within a week.
I drive at least 40 miles per day, though.
It's been running great for over 5k miles now.

25 hp from just those mods and no tune would be very impressive. You have any Dyno or track numbers?
