I need to go through and clean the windows thoroughly and prep it for another tint installer to try.

My nephew has a 2022 LT1 and had his vehicle tinted the same week as mine by someone else, with zero bubbles.

How much are you guys paying for ceramic tint in your areas?
It is not your job to prep the windows for tint. That is the installers job. I did a cash deal for ceramic 5% back and 70% in the front sides for $500. I had a couple bubbles that went away after a week. Now it looks flawless. very happy. However, 5% on the back with a black interior renders the visibility out the back completely gone. Might as well build a wall of subs like in the '90's!! lol Kinda of wish I went a little lighter.

5% is lunacy on a car.

I just looked at my nephew's 2022 LT1 and noticed some bubbling in his rear glass, although not nearly as bad as mine.

Should I expect some bubbling no matter what, especially near the bottom of the rear glass where it meets the rear deck because it is hard for the installer to get to?

I just checked mine (installed within 2 weeks ago). No bubbling/bubbles at all. I agree with everyone else here again... bad install. I reputable dealer should reinstall at no cost to you, and surely no bubbles a week later...

On the tint topic does ceramic tint on the windshield interfere with hud display?

I had the same question. I'm having tinting done on Saturday, and on top of the normal back/sides, was also planning to do the front windshield. The tint shop recommended doing a ceramic, polarizing tint at 70%. Just curious if either the ceramic or the polarizing part would interfere with the HUD, and if I should go with the standard tint instead?

Thanks for the link! They didn't mention it in the video, but in one of the comments they said that either ceramic or standard tint doesn't make any difference when it comes to seeing the HUD, which is good news. However, the tint shop I spoke with specifically mentioned putting polarizing tint on the front windshield, which makes me think of polarized sunglasses where a lot of times you have to be at a certain angle to see things clearly on digital gauge clusters (which is why I prefer standard sunglasses). Just wondering if that will affect the HUD? I'll talk to them at the tint shop when I get there on Saturday to see what they recommend.

I got 3M Crystalline on my 1SS 1LE. Installer told me it would not affect HUD. He was right. Also no bubbles, except around the dot matrix located on the edges of the rear window, which is to be expected since it's a raised texture.

Just got done with the tinting, and looks great! Also, no issues with the HUD. They also have a lifetime warranty on their work, so if there are any problems I can take it back to them.

Is Ceramic worthwhile if I am not getting the front windshield done?

Ceramic tint is worth the extra $$ all day long. Having had both over the years, the ceramic holds up to the hot weather so much better. Spend little more and you'll be happy you did.

Tint for looks? Get any cheap one from a reputable installer with lifetime warranty. If you don't want to roast in your own car on sunny/hot summer days, pony up for ceramic/nano-ceramic. Your skin and AC(due to reduced need) will thank you.

I am looking for heat reduction, so it seems like Ceramic is the way to go.
