No adaptive suspension, smaller brakes, no dual exhaust or even an exhaust that sounds good on the manual, no HUD, no E-Diff, no Recaros. Hey but the center gauge display looks pretty good.

I'm more surprised that the Z got such a bad review. Most videos on it show it does really well on the track.

These new Z are really piggish man. My LT1 is down to about 3585 lbs with my only modification being a muffler delete. These new Z are around 3535 lbs from the factory. You are taking about a 50 lbs difference between my LT1 and a new Z. That is a very heavy Z, the heaviest Z ever made.

I am surprised at how big of a lap time difference there is between the two cars...makes me appreciate how great of a value my SS 1LE is! |

At $50k plus that Z doesn’t even get adaptive dampers. They add $10k for the performance trim but they don’t add any meaningful performance.

Car & Driver or just did a 4 car comparison. Nissan Z, BMW M240I, Toyota Supra and Ford Mustang Mach 1. And that's the order they were ranked. I wish they would have thrown at least a1 SS 1LE in there.

On the website right bow, they have a New 2021 Nissan GT-R T-spec Coupe, now I do not know how rare they are, but asking price is $429,988. For that much I could buy a house and new Z06 (if I could find one). |

Most of the reviews I've seen have been mixed. The engine is decent, but the weak links have been the tires and the soft suspension. Nissan tried to make the ride better by stiffening the chassis, while softening the damping. I imagine the car would handle better with halfway decent tires like PS4S, but the damping is still going to be an issue.

I don't blame them for not including the Camaro, it's still essentially the same car since it was released. Doesn't mean it still wouldn't kick ass though.

I’ve owned my share of Z’s, and also my fair share of Camaro’s. These are totally different rides, and it isn’t an apple to apple comparison.
My current 370 is a fantastic car. If you can drive, you’ll be able to take a Z (370 or older, I haven’t driven the new one), to its limits much more often than a ZL1 or SS. The ZL1 I have on paper is a 3.5 second car, while my Z comes in at 4.9. Both though are crazy fun. In my opinion comparing the two (both are manual), the Z shifts better and easily handles as well perhaps better. My Camaro is a beast with immediate low end torque, while my Z is high strung and needs to be spun to 7000 before she explodes. Both cars will pucker your sphincter, and the Z is just as fun; but different. Before you slam it, drive one. If you do, you’ll see.
