How many ride with your dog often in Camaro?
I got my Camaro a little over 2 years ago when my dog was already 14 and he wasn't much a fan of riding in any cars anymore. It causes him anxiety after 15 min so only for vet visits did he ride.
I'll get another dog again one day possibly but the Camaro is my only car. I don't want to get another "dog car" since I'll probably go everywhere with him/her and I'd never drive the Camaro (work from home). Plus it's just me and I don't want to leave him alone at home if I don't have to. I'll have to accept I'll just have to work a bit harder at keeping it clean. Anyone take their dogs with them fairly often?

I take my 110lb black lab occasionally, he's a mud puddle and water magnet so I pick and choose my destinations. A Harbor freight small moving blanket suffices for protection, he almost jumped out the window one time I got on it from a roll, we don't do that anymore.

Absolutely not… no way, nope. Even if I had a coupe, wouldn’t do it. The way I drive, the dog would be flying all over the place. It just wouldn’t be safe for him or me, not to mention the claw marks left behind.

Not sure if you knew this but when your dog is in the car with you, you can actually drive normally so he doesn’t have to be put through that.

I don't have my Camaro yet, but the dogs are one of the many reasons I'm keeping my current car as the daily driver - lots more room for them in the crossover SUV, and I've already got the protective stuff for that. They won't be getting into the Camaro unless it's a literal life or death emergency.
For those of you that do have dogs, I highly recommend you get a tether for them (meant for use with harnesses, not collars). You can loop them over the headrests and it will keep them from jumping out a window or door. My ex worked at a 'doggy daycare' and more than once witnessed a dog jumping out unexpectedly when the owner opened the door upon arrival, and sadly at least two of those led to traffic fatalities... The exact brand I use I can't seem to find any longer, but something like this one found on Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/thyc4krz |

Truck for the dogs; Camaro for the human.

Yea, I know that…I have a truck where he has some room and can be restrained properly. Camaro’s with any type of leather are not a great place for animals, if you care at all about aesthetics ( and even the plastics can be scratched up) I’m not about to do a driving style work around for my dog in the Z. I bought it to have fun… but hey, to each their own.

The Camaro is the only car I have so the dog goes in it every now and then.
I have a Blue Heeler/Lab mix and it took a few trips to get him used to going into the car, but he jumps in when the door opens now. I always have the back seat down and he likes to crawl and lay in the trunk. Its taken a little more work to get the dog hair out of the car, but hes not chewing or scratching it up at all, so I will keep bringing him in it until I get a truck.

I take my mini husky every day somewhere to walk in Jax, FL. He stands just the right height with the right window down. Loves going for rides in my Camaro 2SS
