Looks like 2022 production is a bit under 12,000:

I only count 315 crush oranges or so, am I missing something? I would've thought much more were made, there 5 in my small town including me now, so can't be that rare right?

2021 1SS Build counts (orange crush inquiry)

GM built a total of 2,036 Chevrolet Camaro 1SS for the 2021 model year.

Of those 2,036, 971 were equipped with the 1LE performance package.
Of those 2,036, 830 were equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission.
Of those 2,036, 73 were equipped with the Orange Crush exterior paint.

Unfortunately, we can not cross-tabulate to identify how many of the 2,036 had the 1LE package AND the 6-speed manual trans AND the Orange Crush paint.

Mine is 6spd, Crush, 1LE -Im guessing only one of 20 w/ that combination

You don't happen to have the numbers for 2020 1LE Crush? GMH never responds.

Belt came off and car overheated

I’m not sure where to post this but I need help!!!

While I was driving on the highway today, somebody was driving slow in front of me so I stepped on it to get around them a couple moments after a message popped up on the dash stating check charging system and shortly after that a message popped up and said engine overheating please pull over and idle engine when I pop the hood. I found my AC belt completely off and ripped to shreds and my main drive belt sitting there in between my fan shroud, and my crank pulley. I haven’t took it to the shop yet, but you can smell the hydrocarbons in the coolant.😢🫠 Long story short, have any of you guys had any experience with belt slipping off when you step on it.

PS… the car has a RotoFab cai, Msd mani, NW 103 tb, speed engineering headers, dsx flex fuel, BTR Stage 2 cam kit, and LME Ported heads

How old is your car? Is it a year or less old? Sounds odd that a belt would let go, unless there is a quality problem with either the belt (either the main accessory drive belt, or the A/C drive belt). One or the other (or both) belts should be feeding the water pump. The next thing to investigate is the idler tension pulley. The pulley arm is spring-loaded to keep tension on the belt. If this tensioner is defective, then the belt could pop off the pulleys and get jammed in with the other belt and cause it to pop off, too. I suspect you have a valid warranty claim that should be covered by the new vehicle warranty. I'd take it to the dealer and let them figure it out.

This is provided as a long time shade tree mechanic and engineer. Your car particulars may include other features I am not familiar with, as I do not yet own a Gen 6 Camaro.

For those of you interested, I thought this might be a good place to post this. You can get your monroney sticker from GM here:

https://cws.gm.com/vs-cws/vehshop/v2...NDAEK6RG121473

You just have to replace the VIN # in the link with your own.

2018 2SS Convertible

I figured I'd add to the thread what I was told about my Black 2SS and its options after contacting GM Heritage with my VIN # last month (February '24).

As many others have pointed out, it's a shame it can't be broken down to a specific number in this computer age. However, at the very most my car is in the low 200's, so I guess that's better than nothing. Also, the build sheet for my car indicates the "dealer installed" factory RPO codes referenced below which might help some of you out if you're wondering about a specific option.

They replied:

That being said, our records indicate the following: 56,839 Camaros were produced in total for the 2018 model year:
  • 1,756 of those total Camaros were 2SS Convertibles
  • 16.6% (approx. 292) 2SS Convertibles featured black exteriors
  • 56.8% (approx. 998) 2SS Convertibles featured black interiors
  • 96.1% (approx. 1,686) 2SS Convertibles featured black convertible tops
Out of 1,756 Camaro 2SS Convertibles produced for the 2018 model year, our records indicate the following about "dealer installed" options:
  • 20.8% (approx. 366) featured the 5VM Ground Effects Package
  • 12.9% (approx. 227) featured the 5K2 Decklid Blackout Decal
  • 32.6% (approx. 572) featured the RIK Black Bow Tie Emblems (Front and Rear)
  • 13.2% (approx. 232) featured the RZ9 SS Lower Grille V8
  • 14.4% (approx. 253) featured the SFE Wheel Locks
  • 17.3% (approx. 304) featured the VYW Premium Floor Mats
