Has anyone had problems, while there already in reverse then it pops out? I took it to the dealer they blamed it on my aftermarket shift knob. Thing is I had the same problem with my stick shift knob.

I would ask the tech and service advisor how an aftermarket shift knob affects a transmission popping out of reverse. Seeing how the knob has no bearing at all in the function of reverse other than a place for you to put your hand on for leverage.

No problem with mine so far and hope it stays that way!

I have a habit of putting it in 2nd and then up to reverse to help with the gear engaging. I learned it on my M-21 Muncie. On that 4-speed, it helped slow synchro enough by going into 2nd that it would not grind going into reverse. I don't know if it would make a difference in these newer transmissions or not just thought I would share that...hope things work out.

Car has been at the dealer now for over two weeks still working on it. They opened it up and found more problems :(

I had the "pop out" with second gear and I could not get into reverse at all sometimes. Sound like a similar problem but ya the shift knob excuse is bs.

UPDATE: The dealership replaced second gear completely and the fork. Flushed clutch and new fluid. I got the car back and all I can say is wow! It is better than new! The shifts are all so much better and smother. The clutch pedal is light and responsive now. All in all this is the way it should have been. I got to have a long talk with the Vet tech Bryan and he defiantly knows his stuff. If anyone has a problem or lives in the area or has dealership problems I would highly recommend Winkelly Chevrolet in Maryland. Talk to AL and tell him I sent you.

Sorry for all the issues you've been dealing with, but glad they were able to help you. Hopefully you can enjoy the car the way you're supposed to now. I'm at 26k and going strong, I've only had to have the dealer replace two injectors at 10k.

Every now and then, I think it's just a product of the twin disc setup.
