Great Mechanic near Austin to install a Gen6 M6 shifter?

I realize this is a bit ahead of myself, I don't yet have my Gen6 - but I've been spoiled by an MGW on my Gen5, and I an no longer the kid who could crawl under his car for hours installing a Gen5 shifter, and I see the Gen6 is far more involved than I ever would have attempted and really needs a lift or more.

I will likely have a Gen6 soon. I will probably want to put the Hurst on. I guess I'm looking for the holy grail of mechanics so as to not risk the new car or its interior for an important task, who's good, loves cars, and preferably has done such surgery already on a Gen6.

Is there a mechanic or speed shop in or around Austin (or barring that, in Texas) you could trust for such work?

Thanks,
Matt

I hear you it can do the job, I think this goes down to individual preference different people have on aspects of their car to go to extremes over.

Common ground though is we all but the most technically gifted of us could use a good mechanic, so it'll be generally useful info.

(I got a DM mentioning a place that did it - not sure if it'd look like I started this thread for shilling purposes if I named them.)

I’ve had stock SS, hurst, and now 1LE shifter. The hurst is excellent.

Just got it done. This is an aspect of the car that's significant to me, and the short-throw really makes the car.

Interested to know as well…

I have this shifter on order from Hurst and planned to do it myself but seeing how awful the install looks, am open to using someone to do it for me.
