OP hasn't posted for about 5.5 years, it's unlikely he'll answer this one unfortunately.

Peoples of camaro-land:

If ANY RATTLE OR METALLIC NOISES from drivetrain when clutch pedal pushed all the way down, the clutch is BROKEN, drive to dealer or transmission shop IMMEDIATELY or you will increase repair cost by thousands. Including when car is moving, clutch pushed down.

In my experience over ~20 stickshift cars including many GMs, and a million+ miles, clutches are more likely to break with cylinder/pinion/throwout issues, rather than having wear issues with the plates/discs.

I'm not the OP but I had similar issues. Bought my car "nused" though...20,500miles on a '17. Had 1-2 shift problems from get go. Chevy service "could not duplicate". Local perf shop initially said the same. Had trans pulled and opened up to show the 3rd party warrantor the problem 1st hand since car was just outside of 5yr powertrain warranty as of Jan-Feb '22.

I had worn synchros and worn 2nd and 4th gears. 3rd party warrantor covered entire rebuild. While we were in there, I swapped for billet flywheel, Tilton clutch, Hurst short throw and bronze shift pads. No issues for 11K miles until the car refused to shift into reverse.

Troubleshot reverse lock out solenoid, back up light switch, skip shift eliminator with no luck. Turned out a magnet had come apart in the case and lodged itself preventing shift into reverse. Other posts have addressed these magnets before. Recommend removal if you ever open the case. Consider magnetic drain plug or some other alternative.
