Stupid question. What type of oil weight do you use? And have you ever noticed an unstable/inconsistent reading on the oil pressure gauge during the drive?

I'm actually thinking it's the j&l oil separator catch can that's causing my issues, I think the ports are too small, it looks like they actually makes a 3.0 version that looks like it has bigger ports.

I ordered an elite engineering e2x dual port catch can that I'm hoping resolves my issues. It will be here Friday and then after I install it, I'll bring it to the shop for the rear main seal replacement.

I am running the factory 5w-30 oil weight and when I data log on the car the oil pressure doesn't jump it's pretty linear with load/rpm.

Some ideas in the below thread. Sounds like excessive crankcase pressure blowing out the seals.
