No problem!!
In the interest pf providing more information, these planted technology seat brackets are HEAVY at about 10 pounds a piece but they are made out of 3/16 inch mild steel. The STOCK LAP belt attaches to the mounting tab that you see coming straight up off the bracket on the LEFT hand side of the bracket. The BUCKLE attaches to the upright tab on the right hand side of the bracket. The reason you need LOW profile sides on the seat is that if they are TOO high then the stock seatbelts will not secure you properly in place because it doesnt allow the belt to come into firm contact with your lap. I have contemplated having AMP fabricate me a seat bracket out of chromoly steel and those would weigh roughly 2 pounds. I dont think though the cost of those would be justified and I am happy with the way that the planted technology brackets fit anyway. Here is link to DRIVER's side bracket: https://www.plantedtechnology.com/pl...iver-left.html Note that the PICTURE in the link shows you back of the bracket with the two bolt holes that secure the seat to the floor. On the Front side of the bracket, that's where the seat slides into the SLOTS in the floor. So basically, TWO bolts hold the seat bracket down after you slide it DOWN and FORWARD into the floor slots by the FRONT of the seat. Note that in order to get proper access THRU the top of the bracket into the mounting hole that is on the LEFT hand side of the bracket, you will have to elongate the hole in TOP of the bracket so that you have a straight shot to the floor bolt hole. I have NO IDEA what planted technology was thinking with their design on this but it is a MINOR annoyance.

Change of PLANS for seat selection
Ok after some heavy consultation with the Competition Motorsport guys (very helpful BTW). I decided on the following seat and ordered it.
https://competitionmotorsport.com/co...43205359993051 This is bigger in the seating area than the aformentioned COBRA NOGARO seat. While that's not a big deal for me, anyone that is BIGGER than say a 34-35 inch waist would be probably too big for the COBRA seat. Also with the sides being a little taller than the NOGARO seat, no doubt lateral support will be a little better. I also ordered the side mounts for the seats and I confirmed that they will work with my planted technology seat brackets. This seat is FIA certified and has the submarine hole in the bottom of the seat for a 5 or 6 point harness. The other thing I confirmed is that it WILL work with stock seatbelt setup even though the sides of the seats are HIGHER than those on the COBRA NOGARO seat. NOTE: Sparco made a revision to this seat and the NEWER versions have LARGER holes in the top back of the seat where the harness belts go thru. If you order these , make sure that you get the revised seat and it has a different part number apparently than the original design with the smaller holes. For about 600 dollars more you can get a Carbon Fiber version of this seat but since you cant really see the back of the seat anyway when installed, it didnt seem cost justified although it is about 10 pounds lighter. Once I get the seat, I will give you exact weight and some install pics. For NOW, I have put my STOCK SS seat back in since I BENT the shit out of the BACK of the track seat I had in there.

sr71bb, Hello from Aussie, & what a FANTATIC thread.
I've been on a few forums, but I've never come across a thread as comprehensive & "honest" as this one. Plenty of owners will detail the good stuff, but you are detailing your "failures" as well. Anyway, all I can say, is that your thread is quite unique, & I'm sure that anyone following it will be of the same opinion. Maybe I've missed it, but have you put up an image of your car,..if not, perhaps you could put up a few. Well done, Pickles. |

Currently there is an open area between the MAGNAFLOW mufflers where the ORIGINAL Suitcase stock muffler sat. Air flow is disrupted by this cavity and not allowed to exit smoothly out the back of the car. Of course I could put an ENORMOUS wing on the back to create more downforce but I dont like the aesthetics of that as this is also a daily driver.

UPDATED INFO on VITESSES controller
Earlier in this thread I mentioned that I would post back AFTER Vitesse sent me a replacement throttle controller box and harnness. I was getting some DTC errors which was diagnosed as being the WRONG model controller for my car.
The PICS below are what they sent me back which consist of the harness that interfaces directly to the gas pedal assembly as shown in the pics as well as the interface box that I attached via VELCRO to the underside of dash. The DISPLAY unit itself I DID NOT change out and that is still located under the console cover (SEE PIC). The display is currently showing SP0 which means that it will use the throttle settings that are in the ECU table NOW (in my case the AMP modified more aggressive settings). SP1 to SP9 settings then makes the throttle tables progressively more liner or touchy. SP9 is like an on off switch but SP3 in my particular case felt the BEST. These settings can be adjusted on the fly for whatever track you are running. So CURRENTLY , I AM NOT getting any DTC errors. My first track day is going to be this WEDS and I will post back after that.

Here in Atlanta it is very expensive to obtain regular access to a road course track.
AMP is basically a country club for racers. $30k a year plus monthly dues gives you a few days a week of access. These tracks can really price enthusiasts out.

Can you get into details on your diffuser build/install? I have a 5th gen that suffers the same issue with a big dead space and the OEM diffuser acting as a parachute in my opinion.
