Texas Speed Headers. 4 years later...

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the purchase I made in 2016. I paid $574 shipped for a set of TSP 2.0 longtubes, with offroad connection pipes and 2 o2 harness extensions. Yesterday I pulled them off for the first time since and they are still in the same exact condition. Of course they have that used stainless color but thats normal. Zero rust. I did modify the collector by welding on a 3 bolt flange, because slip fits just never work. I will be cleaning them up and reusing them on the dart 427 without hesitation.

Great product guys.

Good to see that they last. I have the same headers on my car and glad I made that purchase.

Just put mine on this weekend. Have many people had issues with the slip fit? Only issue I see is with the stock cat back the headers and cats are a little short. My fit was to order the x pipe and get rid of the huge resonator that is on the verts.

Bought mine in 2012 and they're still going strong I did replace gaskets last year while doing other upgrades, but no issues at all with the headers.

I can't say for sure who's had a problem, but from my personal experience with all the cars/trucks I've had, every slip fit connector has always leaked. When I had my 3 inch exhaust fab'ed up, my exhaust guy suggest we flange it.

Since its right next to your o2 sensors and wideband, it's really important to be leak free.

Any issues with heat since they are not ceramic coated?

They definitely get hot!

I finished my cam swap a couple days ago and on the second start I noticed a terrible smell. Kind of a burning rubber smell. Apparently the wind or something knocked that big rubber foam hood hinge cushion onto one of the collectors and started cooking it.

Also, I have burned my hands on the collectors a couple times, being the moron I am. I would ceramic coat if I could do it again. It gets hot under that hood.

No. I've had the stock radiator and fans with a stock thermostat for the last 4 years, and never had a cooling issue, in Florida.

I mean, if you grab a hot header, you're gonna get burned. Same as stock manifolds, same as ceramic coated.

I'd prefer ceramic coated, but these work just fine.

I can confirm this is not fake news.

Ceramic is worth the extra cost, the LT headers in my car stills look new after 3 1/2 of having them on. I honestly think they do not get as hot compare to the stock exhaust manifold.

I think you are a liar. I've been told time and time again 'you get what you pay for', so since you saved over $500 by not going with Kooks I just don't believe you haven't had any problems.
