Methanol injection!!!
Calling all meth heads!
Next stage of my build is meth injection . IMO good way to cool down and boost HP especially since no e85 in my area. I am looking for some insight for my forum peeps. What methanol injection kit are people running on their lt4 zl1? I am considering the snow performance stage 2 kits Thoughts and comments? |

I've had no problems with it at all. I like that it has a trunk mounted tank so I don't lose my washer solvent bottle |

ProMeth — I have their LSA post rotor system — I’d contact Rodney and see if he has a post rotor setup for the LT4
Mine: I do run E85 pump gas too... -Don

I have always wanted to add meth. There are not many that share their experiences. I’m also looking into the snow stage 2.

I have the NX Lid now. Snow recommend the 8 nozzle system to hook up to the lid. Which would nice with the nard line Stainless lines running to each port. Total was about $1100.
I am not sure if the throttle body spacer with the injection port would fit with the LT4 and the roto-fab. There is only about 3/8" between the intake and radiator. The single nozzle kit is about half the price! Not certain on which injection point would be best. My good friend had his tapped into his intake on his 5th gen and it works well there. Snow tried to sell my on the stage 3 but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze on that. Stage 2 would work just fine with the variable rate control from the boost. |

I run an Alky Control dual nozzle system. Take a look at this post to see my isolated gains from meth after adding to previous mods.

I live near E85 and also don’t want to worry about a tank running dry or a pump failing mid pull. Meth is cool, but not for this guy

bumping up my own thread. I am still contemplating using meth injection or not. I did find a thread from Ted @ Janett Racing and he was against it. What is people honest opinion. Is meth worth it? Is it safe?
I know it cools IAT Temps and boost octane to me sounds good a win win. Yes a pump could fail but if you rebuild them and maintain it as per manufacturer recommended you should be fine. Is there any downsides on engine internals with running it? |

I’m running meth and will be purchasing a send pump soon. Not bc anything is wrong with my current but I want to send it to get rebuilt ever year and use one in its place. This way I don’t have down time and the pumps keep fresh. Pumps are cheap too. About $150 tops.
