then I can see it as the factory base suspension is goint to be a bit to soft.
I don't think is the suspension as much as the tires. The Pilot Sport Cup tires on the Z/28 are themselves in a whole other league than the crapyears that come on the GT500.

Speaking from experience the "supercar" GT500 tires are borderline dangerous in a straight line with 662hp. I couldn't imagine trying to get a good track time...

Oh wait, I know. This pretty much guarantees the next performance variant of the Mustang will be on my shopping list. Thanks Al. And to think I was considering a Porsche next.
it just like the way ford and mustang guys always compare the '13 gt500 to the '12 zl-1.

...if you want to compare performance numbers, well, the GT500 retains it's title of the highest hp, worst performing car in the world.

No it's not. Both were available for purchase at the same time and the ZL1 carried over. By all means compare the GT500 and Z/28 all you want as they may be available together.

I guess its time to bring it back from the hashes if Ford wants to compete at the tier 2 level now.
Um no. The GT40 was naturally aspirated. The resurrected GT had the 5.4L good for 550HP. The 5.8L with 660HP in the GT chassis would be sick!

It's time to celebrate!!!
True enough.
