ARP balancer crank bolt
I am getting ready to intall a new lower pulley and ATI balancer. There is two bolts that are referenced for the swap. 234-2503 and 234-2504. Which is the correct one I did read somewhere else that the 234-2504 was too long but it was the recommended one?

2504 is for the LS7 which is dry sump and has a longer crank snout. Use the shorter one.

Why are some people saying that the longer 234-2504 ARP bolt is the one?

Just use the ATI bolt.. people screw up here all the time its supposed to be a LS bolt for correct length and most importantly correct flang size to seal and not to crush drawing damper on.. here some useful stuff...

I recently used ARP 234-2503 bolt. No issues. A comparison:
Note this was on an LT1 with LT4 balancer, but believe they are same.

some LT4s are dry sump (Z06) and likely require the longer bolt like the LS7

I used the ARP 2503 when I put mine back together. If you use this bolt make sure to put some sealant on the face of the washer that goes into the balancer. if you don't you will have a good chance of an oil leak sooner or later, the factory bolts come with sealant already applied and the ARP does not.
