Changing spark plugs and wires on 2013 RS

Hey guys, so I took it upon myself to change my spark plugs and wires on my 2013 RS. First time I have ever done this on my car so it has been a bit of a challenge but I got the 3 on the driver side done and first one (closest to front bumper) on the passenger side done!

Now I’m having trouble getting the final two in the passenger side done closest to the inside of the car. I’m not sure what that piece is but it’s blocking my access for the socket wrench and even if I could get in there, it’s blocking my access to remove the black rubber (coil?)

I watched some videos and saw there are clips that can remove some of the parts in the way but I can’t seem to figure it out. I also grabbed these wires but don’t know where to start in that either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated for this first time newbie!

Those white clips should be able to be squeezed then slide the connector off. I don’t have a rs so can’t comment on the rest.

That's the EVAP solenoid. Remove the bolt and it pulls out. When removing/replacing, make sure to push on the bolt as it's spring-loaded (or so it feels like - it can strip if you don't apply pressure).

I don't think you need the plug wires.

Didn't clue into the last picture earlier, but yes, there is no distributor or wires, just ignition coils.

Nope, but a flashback for me.
One of the first things I asked the salesman after opening the hood was where the hell did GM hide the plug wires this time?

Yeah, I have an '11 1LT RS and did the plugs too, first time not too long ago. I figured the spark plug wires out myself. Interesting that they just decided to throw the Ig. Coils into a wire harness but hey whatever floats your boat. Some engineer somewhere got a bonus. Anyway take back the spark plug wires and get your money back. I took my car in a few weeks ago and wanted to clear up the engine warning light deal. But I will do this in another thread. TAL
