Indy 500 Festival/Hot Wheels Camaro on display at the Chevy tent at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They also had a couple of ZR1s on display (Pace Car is a ZR1).

Question for you lucky Hot Wheels owners.

I noticed this wing spoiler on the car at the Rodgers event and see it as standard on the “build your own”. Why is this the only Hot Wheels car I’ve seen with that spoiler?

Thanks

My build sheet lists the ground effects as 5VM.

The coupe models are shipped with a standard stock spoiler without the stripe applied. The dealership receives the designer spoiler along with the stripes and ground effects to be put on by the dealership. Unfortunately, some owners and dealerships are not familiar with what all the package includes and so some cars are leaving the dealership "incomplete". Hoping that all eventually do get the correct installed.

There is a reason for it...an employee at GM explained it to me...but I do not feel can paraphrase/explain the reason properly...as do not want to get it wrong.

Did it get built today?

I think that what hotlap is talking about is what appears to be a difference in spoilers between the coupe and the convertible. Here is the spoiler on the convertible, from a picture I took at NAIAS, compared to a picture of the spoiler on the coupe Al O. drove to the James-Martin Chevrolet show. The convertible has a spoiler that is open across the back, like an SS spoiler. The coupe has a spoiler that is more flat and closed along the back, more like a 1LE spoiler.
